Send SMS with Python (GET)

https://smsarc.com/endpoint/sendsms/{API_KEY}/{11_DIGIT_NUMBER}/{MESSAGE}/

Change the URL to include a valid recipient phone number and a valid SMS ARC API key. You can trigger the SMS with requests.get() in Python.
When using GET the FROM recipient is automatically chosen based on available numbers in your account. Use POST to specify a from recipient.
You can send a MMS Message with Python by appending the API endpoint "{image_url}" to the endpoint. Check the Python code sample below for more information.

Send SMS with Python (POST)

The following parameters can be sent to our API to send a text message using Python.

Add your the API key with a code that you generated within your SMS Arc account.
Set the from value to match a valid 11 digit number from your account
Update your recipient to number with any valid 11 digit number.

What Number does Python display to recipients?

Do I need do install anything?

How Fast can Python send SMS?

You can send one SMS per second using Python with the SMS Arc API. Messages sent during this cooldown will be rejected. Please be sure you use Python time.sleep(1) between messages if you are sending multiple text messages.

What is the longest text message Python can send?

The longest message that can be sent is 160 characters. However, if you send us a longer message we will automatically split it up for you into multiple messages.

Can I send MMS with Python?

Of course. However the media you include must be hosted on a valid and web accessible URL. You can provide the SMS Arc API with any valid http or https URL of any JPG, PNG or GIF. We will attach this to any message to send a MMS with Python.
